In 1985, Sandra Filippucci became one of the early pioneers of Digital fine art along with her friend and mentor, Barbara Nessim. Since then, Filippucci has continued to combine her traditional training in painting and printmaking with 3d modeling. As of 2001, her subject has been Joan of Arc and upon moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico from Kent, Connecticut in 2006, her new body of work not only reflects the saturated colors of the Southwest but has also found another form of expression through bronze sculpture.
Currently, Filippucci is working on a new encaustic body of work entitled, Maturnus.
