GEOFFREY MOSS
Geoffrey Moss, a New York painter, has exhibited work through The Museum of Modern Art, Pompidou, Berkshire Museum, Andy Warhol Museum, Smithsonian Institution, Norman Rockwell Museum, The Kennedy Center, The Newseum, Knoll Associates, Yale Gallery of Art, and private galleries.
He is also known for MOSSPRINTS, non-traditional political drawings, the first of that genre to be syndicated nationally; graphic metaphors recognized with Pulitzer nominations including 9/11 and his Washington Post Watergate work. Books include The Art and Politics of Geoffrey Moss, forward by Dan Rather, The Biker Code, and several childrens books. Moss’s career includes working as art restorer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, animation, designing sets for The Brooklyn Academy of Music Next Wave Festival and teaching Masters classes at art schools and Universities.
Moss is an alumnus of the University of Vermont (BA, Distinguished Alumnus Award), and Yale School of Art and Architecture (BFA, MFA.)
