PAUL
SUTTMAN
Paul Suttman enjoyed a long career as an artist, was awarded many prizes and fellowships, and exhibited widely across the US and Europe. He grew up in New Mexico, studied and taught in Michigan, and resided in Italy for many years. The artist's early work concentrated on the human figure, although he became better known for still life sculpture in the 1970s and 80s. The artist had presented a series of works in New York City in 1992 on art historical themes, and passed away the following year.
