ROBERT LENZ
Of his work, Lenz says: “my paintings are not profound, they do not protest, they do not satirize...they are mere expressions of pure joy. That is the way I feel while painting them, and that is the way I want people to feel while viewing them.”
As a painting and Fine Arts major at the University of Illinois, Bob Lenz exhibited oil and watercolor landscapes and still lifes throughout the Chicago area during the late fifties and early sixties. Upon graduation, he migrated to New York and began a successful and award-winning career as an advertising creative director responsible for memorable campaigns.
Thirty-five years later, in 1998, he returned to his first love, painting.
